The creation of the WERA (World Educational Research Association) opens up new possibilities for building capacity in education research world-wide and for those doing research in the Basque Country. WERA operates as a research association to cultivate highest scientific knowledge and coherence with those democratic values and ethical principles we stand for in educational research. Both SEP (Spanish Society of Pedagogy) and AMIE (Multidisciplinary Educational Research Association) are already members of WERA, but every educational researcher at any stage in their career can also join as individual member.
This symposium will be held on Thursday 19th November 2015 from 12.30 to 13.30 in Bilbao. It will present new possibilities for capacity building for educational researchers in the Basque Country.
In the event will participate Josu Solabarrieta, Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Education, University of Deusto; Sharona Javajant, Researcher of the SALEACOM Project, H2020 - Marie Skłodowska-Curie-RISE, University of Auckland; Rocío García Carrión, President of AMIE and WERA Council Member; and Lourdes Villardón, AMIE-WERA Basque Country, University of Deusto.
