On 7 May, the Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) and the University of Deusto signed an agreement for implementing actions on ethics and values in business, public entities and other type of organisations. The agreement reaffirms the long-lasting cooperation between the two entities supporting DEUSTO CEA-Center for Applied Ethics’ work in this area.
This Center for Applied Ethics has been, for more than 20 years now, a space for reflection, research, training and transfer of knowledge on ethics issues relevant in today’s world. Its research team includes researchers coming from prestigious Universities, such as the University of Sussex and the University of Harvard, and research centers (e.g. Max Planck Institute); CEA is the only Spanish University Center with such characteristics being a reference in the ethics field at international level.
Thanks to BBVA financial support, CEA will be able to fund postgraduate scholarships for the “Master in Ethics for Social Construction” and for the research areas “Development and Social Transformation”.
