Considering the commitment of the international community to a) ensure inclusive education to all (SDG 4) and b) promote gender equality at all levels of society (SDG 5), this course is presented with the objectives of:
- Identifying emerging trends in gender segregation in higher education studies.
- Questioning the future gender distribution in the different fields of study.
- Acquiring knowledge about the role of gender in the election of academic studies and how gender impacts the academic trajectory of women and men in different areas of specialisation, such as Computer Engineering and New Technologies, Business, Health Sciences, and Law.
- Being able to consider the social factors applicable to academic practices to critically analyse the specific gender equality problems that occur in different academic fields.
