The PhD Programme in Psychology is supported by areas of expertise from various departments: Personality, Psychological Assessment and Treatment, Basic Psychology, and Social Psychology, which together provide a multidisciplinary perspective and contribute to seven different research areas.

The PhD programme is structured around two large research areas:
The programme aims to provide quality research training in various fields of study in Psychology. The aim is to provide students with core skills applicable to different contexts related to basic and applied research, such as Clinical and Health Psychology, Social Psychology, Educational Psychology and Experimental Psychology. To this end, it seeks to contribute to the advancement of knowledge by educating and training students in new methodologies, actively involving them in research projects and activities.
Los programas de Doctorado incluyen actividades de formación investigadora tanto transversal como específica del ámbito de cada programa. Estas actividades están orientadas a la formación excelente de nuevos investigadores y al desarrollo óptimo de competencias en investigación.
Se consideran actividades de formación investigadora: cursos, jornadas, seminarios, asistencia a congresos, publicación de artículos y estancias de movilidad.
Se busca generar un espacio de encuentro intelectual donde el investigador pueda desarrollar su formación en un contexto adecuado.
