Once admitted to the programme, together with the letter of admission, students will receive

• Information on the enrolment process, including the deadline and timetable for enrolment and the supporting documents to be attached.

• Face-to-face tutoring hours

• Training in ALUD2 platform use
• The annual academic calendar and scheduled assessment periods

Students are welcomed by the programme directors on the first day of class. They are given a brief welcome with an overview of the university and the services it offers (Library, Deusto Campus, Student Guidance Service, Social Work Service, Secretariat, Dean’s Office, etc.) as well as detailed information about the programme.

In order to assist its students, the University provides a Student Guidance and Support Service  that offers:

• Specialised educational- psychological consultation to deal with the difficulties that students may encounter.
• Specialist courses to facilitate and complete the learning process (study techniques, anxiety control techniques, public speaking, job search techniques, etc.).
• Curriculum Adaptation Unit.

Students with special needs will be offered the support of the Guidance and Support Service, coordinated with the Master’s directors, who will be responsible for ensuring that these students adapt to the dynamics of this postgraduate degree (teaching/learning, research, internships and social network).

The  International Relations OfficeI also helps foreign students integrate into university life. Here they can find information and permanent assistance for arranging visas and residence permits, housing, medical services and insurance and other local services.

TheCRAI (Learning and Research Resource Centre) library centralises services for students, researchers and academic staff from every degree programme. The facilities include:

• 9,536 m² which house the collections, of which 1,600 m² are open access collections.
• 3 general reading rooms with 750 workstations.
• 12 group study rooms
• 12 student seminar rooms
• 33 carrels for 66 researchers

Other resources include: a multimedia room with 18 workstations, the media library, reference room with 80 workstations, a car park with 68 spaces, a coffee shop and a university refectory. The building is equipped with state of the art technology and the entire building is a Wi-Fi zone.

It has a usable floor space of 9,000m² and 1307 reading stations. Of its total 997,153 volumes, 13,734 are printed periodicals. 1,624 electronic resources (monographs, periodical publications and data bases).

Deusto’s University Library, both at its Bilbao and San Sebastian campuses, has been audited and certified by AENOR on the 2nd Surveillance Audit of the Quality Management System pursuant to the UNE-EN ISO 9001:2000 Standard in 2007, resulting in a positive assessment.

The Bilbao campus has 4 computer roomsfor student use, with a total of 256 computers installed in 509.12m^2. In addition, there are other rooms, specific to the Faculty of Engineering, which can be used if necessary. The entire area is a Wi-Fi zone.

There is also a corporate website with more than 30 subsites, a student extranet , a specific site for new students with full information to enter the University such as how to apply to the university, information, interviews, etc.

Students will also receive provisional grades via SMS by simply providing their mobile phone number on the student extranet and in their email account.

The University of Deusto’s  Alud online platform  will be used to ensure that the required resources and materials are available and to monitor learning through tutorials.

In this way, students will have the opportunity to:

• Access different materials and resources: texts, videos, websites…
• Form groups to work together.
• Keep in contact with the teaching staff and tutors.
• Receive information of general interest for all the participants from the master’ director.
