DeustoTech Learning is starting a new Erasmus+project that aims to develop a programme to bring the video games industry into Ukrainian universities.  The programme is formed by several modules such as video game design and development, game-based learning, development of generic competences and entrepreneurship. GameHub intends to make graduates attractive on the job market and promote entrepreneurship among university graduates, unemployed engineers and veterans.  For this purpose, a programme that covers the knowledge and competences needed to promote the game industry will be designed jointly with other universities. The project is divided into several specific objectives: Firstly, an instrument must be put into place to monitor the competence profiles needed to create jobs in the ICT industry, including international networks and business opportunities.  Bringing GameHub into all the consortium’s higher education institutes, increasing their knowledge and competences for video game production and boosting entrepreneurial spirit by developing learning, training and consultancy resources is another. The aim is to develop a competence map at each centre that defines the professional profile for the video game industry.  Lastly, another objective is to promote cooperation between the university, industries that employ these professionals and the veterans’ associations to thus strengthen Ukraine’s emerging ICT business market.   Some 180 lecturers from Ukrainian universities, 500 students and 150 unemployed people will participate in the project.  18 bilingual learning modules will be developed for them. A large number of international centres will form part of the project, such as. AGH Science and Technology University(Poland), FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences (Austria) and the Quality centre (Austria); the Virtualware Lab Foundation (Spain) Deusto Foundation(Spain). The following will take part on behalf of Ukraine: The Donetsk Technical National University, the Vasyl Stefanyk Pre Carpathian National University, the Kherson Technical National University, the Kiev National University of Architecture and Construction, the Kharkiv Polytechnic University, the Odessa National Polytechnic University, and the Ukrainian Association of Information Technology Professionals. GameHub will deploy the methodology and resources developed to improve the competences of students rising to the challenge of today’s ICT industry, particularly vidoegames.  The results will help Ukraine to reach European Union standards.    " /> DeustoTech Learning is starting a new Erasmus+project that aims to develop a programme to bring the video games industry into Ukrainian universities.  The programme is formed by several modules such as video game design and development, game-based learning, development of generic competences and entrepreneurship.
