4th Course on Corporate Competitiveness and Regional Development, designed by a Harvard team and taught online.

The Course on Corporate Competitiveness and Regional Development (CCEDR) is a programme that came into being thanks to a collaboration agreement between the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies - ESTE at the San Sebastian campus of the University of Deusto, and SPRI. It has been designed by professor Michael E. Porter and his team from the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard University. The 4th presentation of this course took place on 14 February on Bilbao campus of the University of Deusto.

The CCEDR is an online training course in which all participants share methodology, processes and materials. The ESTE-University of Deusto was one of the pioneering institutions in the implementation of this project in 2003. Following its successive broadening, in 2006 this programme is comprised of approximately fifty prestigious teaching centres worldwide, where it is taught simultaneously throughout the year. The main aims of this course are: to understand the principles and variables that determine competitiveness, and to differentiate the relevant levels of competitiveness and the interelationship between them.
