Law professor Julia Suderow took part in the Global Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum organised by the OECD on 27 and 28 March. This year’s event was held in Paris. The theme this year was “Planet Integrity”. Participants debated on integrity to ensure a level playing field for firms, reduce socio-economic inequalities, make public policies more effective and enhance the benefits of globalisation for all. The debate also focused on governance of globalisation and its role in curbing corruption and unethical practices. The OECD has launched a series of principles concerning integrity with a view to recovering trust in government and public institutions. |
Over 1800 people from international bodies, universities, firms and consultancies took part in the forum, including politicians and global leaders. The public had the opportunity to hear talks by the prime ministers of Norway, Iceland and Thailand.
