The Culture and Society course has started with great enthusiasm from the students. It is a new programme at DeustoBide, the School of Citizenship within the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at the University of Deusto.
The group forming this first cohort is very diverse. Although for most of the enrolled students it is their first time in our classrooms, there are also graduates from the previous Culture and Solidarity programme, as well as students joining these studies after completing the University Cultural Leisure or Enjoying the Arts programmes. The cohort is very diverse in terms of age, gender and background, but they share a strong desire to learn, curiosity, and the wish to acquire tools to understand contemporary society.
The Culture and Society programme offers a varied curriculum, covering current topics such as “Keys to analysing international relations”, “How to talk about a painting”, “Challenges of artificial intelligence”, and “Feminisms: a critical perspective”, among others. In addition, students will have the opportunity to participate in workshops that will introduce them to the practice of mindfulness or conscious nutrition.
A programme designed to be an intellectual stimulus for students, combining learning with enjoyment.
