Chris Lowney left the Company of Jesus in 1983, and he started a new career that same year at J.P. Morgan & Co. He worked with J.P. Morgan for seventeen years as a managing director and member of the managing committee in New York, Tokyo, Singapore and London. At present, he lives in New York city, where he works as a consultant for the Catholic Medical Mission Board. In his book, Lowney, a former jesuit and executive with J.P. Morgan, shares leadership principles that have guided Jesuit leaders in their diverse pursuits for nearly five centuries. The Jesuits?long-lasting success rests on four core pillars: self-awareness, creativity, love and heroism. By incorporating these principles into their daily lives, the jesuits developed an organisation that coordinates a highly efficient international network for trade, education, missionary work and erudition.
