Deusto and Saunier Duval sign an agreement to implement a pioneering MA in Air Conditioning Engineering

Last 20 June, the University of Deusto and Saunier Duval signed a collaboration agreement to design and carry out an MAin Air Conditioning Engineering. This is a unique project in Spain, aimed at providing comprehensive and updated university training to those engineers working in the air conditioning sector. This agreement was signed by the Rector of Deusto, Jaime Oraá, and Carlos Doria Iriarte, Executive Chairman of Saunier Duval.

Bilbao Campus

Both the University of Deusto and Saunier Duval will collaborate in the development of contents and materials for this Master?s Degree programme that will start next October. Lecturers from both organisations will take part in this course, among other experts. This programme is open to 20 students, who will be specifically selected according to their prior experience. Lectures will be held at this university, although some subjects will be taught on other sites provided by Saunier Duval to carry out projects and practical training.


This air conditioning company is jointly responsible for the outline and update of programme contents. In addition, it will provide practical case studies and materials fromits experience and actual expertise. Similarly, the Associations of Engineers, Technical Engineers, Architects and Technical Architects have taken part in the design of this Master?s degree programme. The total cost of this MA per student is 7,000 euros.

The training of specialised experts in the installation of complex systems and equipment for home comfort is one of the contributions to society that Saunier Duval seeks to achieve through the creation and promotion of postgraduate studies for professionals in this sector. This is why it has chosen ESIDE and the University of Deusto as its academic partners to carry out this project.
