The Faculty of Law celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Degree in Law with a specialism in economics at the University of Deusto with a Conference on social responsibility
Last 10 May, the Faculty of Law at the University of Deusto celebrated the 60th anniversary of its Specialism in Economics (Degree in Law with a Specialism in Economics). This event was also an opportunity to disseminate the concept, advances and experiences of corporate social responsibility among students and alumni, many of whom occupy posts in companies which involve a great deal of responsibility, above all in Basque small and medium-sized enterprises. This Conference on 'Responsabilidad Social, fuente de innovación para la gestión de las empresas vascas' was attended by deputy Ramón Jáuregui, among other authorities.

Some of the participants in this Conference included: Deputy Ramón Jáuregui, the Regional Deputy for Economic Innovation and Promotion Ricardo Barainka, the Secretary of the Port Authority of Bilbao Agustín Bravo, accompanied by Rector Jaime Oraá, the Vice-Rector for Research José Luis Avila, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Juan Echano. One of the aims of this Conference was to introduce Law students to the concepts of corporate social responsibility as a way to disseminate it, once they enter the job market. During this Conference, a number of corporate case studies like Eroski, Izar and Iberdrola were also dealt with.
