Agreement between the University and the Vizcaína Aguirre Foundation to boost the international profile of Deusto Business School

The agreement between the two institutions includes grants for undergraduate students at Deusto Business School, covering 100% of tuition, accommodation and a study grant of €3,500.

The University of Deusto and the Fundación Vizcaína Aguirre (FVA) have renewed their collaboration to enhance internationalisation and support educational activities at Deusto Business School. The agreement includes a financial contribution of 650,000 euros, which will be allocated to various educational projects carried out on the Bilbao campus These initiatives include grants for undergraduate students covering 100% of tuition, accommodation at Deusto Hall of Residence, and a study grant of €3,500 per academic year.

Founded in 1916 and in line with its founding principles, the Vizcaína Aguirre Foundation (FVA) funds these grants for outstanding students with financial need, which are expected to be awarded primarily to prospective university students from abroad or outside Biscay, although some local recipients may also be considered. Rector Juan José Etxeberria and FVA Board Chair Fuensanta de Icaza have signed the agreement, which also includes inviting internationally renowned professors or speakers to deliver courses and seminars at Deusto, support for obtaining and maintaining international accreditations, and strengthening the School’s position in leading rankings.

The agreement also provides support to Deusto Business School for special initiatives linked to the Faculty’s Strategic Plan and for the improvement and maintenance of certain facilities in the La Comercial building.
