He is a research professor at the University of Deusto. He specializes in Rehabilitation (Gregorio Marañón Hospital in Madrid, 2008-12) and Family and Community Medicine (Gijón, 2017-2020). He has published numerous international articles in the field of ultrasound-guided interventional techniques in the upper limb. One of these techniques (release of the A1 pulley for trigger finger) was the subject of his doctoral thesis, which he completed at the Complutense University of Madrid (2018) with honors. In 2022, he was awarded a grant from the Marqués de Valdecilla Research Institute (NEXT-VAL Grant for young researchers) for tenotomy of the long head of the biceps. He is currently continuing his research into new ultra-minimally invasive techniques for common shoulder joint pathologies.
