He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Deusto. Between 1999 and 2009, he combined his work as a university lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Deusto with research activities in projects at Deusto Foundation for Technology, within the eVida research group, focusing on Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) and Accessibility to New Technologies. During this period, he taught courses related to Information Systems and New Technologies at the Service of Society. Since 2009, he has developed his professional career in the field of information technology management at the University of Deusto. He has served as Head of the Information and Knowledge Management Area within the University IT Service, leading the implementation and maintenance of strategic systems such as web communication systems, knowledge management systems, collaborative work tools, teaching and research support systems, CRAI information systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, and Business Process Management (BPM) systems. Between 2022 and 2025, he held the position of Deputy Director of the University IT Service. Since the summer of 2025, he has been Director of Information Technology, following the renaming of the IT Service as the Information Technology Unit, and has also been appointed Deputy to the Vice-Rector for the Digital Transformation area. In this role, he actively participates in the definition and implementation of the university’s digital transformation strategy. In the academic field, since the 2024/2025 academic year, he has been teaching the course Information Systems for Management in the Master’s Degree in Industrial Organization Engineering, focusing on the strategic role of information systems, decision-making processes, and the digital transformation of organizations.
