PhD in Human Rights
She holds a PhD in Human Rights from the University of Deusto, a NOHA Master's degree in International Humanitarian Action, a Master's degree in International Cooperation and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Her dissertation deals with the role of housing in the process of local integration of internally displaced persons in urban contexts. She has worked as a researcher and analyst of armed conflicts, humanitarian emergencies and peace processes in Sub-Saharan Africa for the School of Culture of Peace at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, as well as for humanitarian NGOs such as Doctors without Borders. Her main areas of research are forced migration and local integration, internal displacement, the right to adequate housing and security of tenure; post-conflict urban settings, informality and non-state actors in Sub-Saharan African cities.
