Trinidad L. Vicente, New Director of Equality of the Biscay Provincial Council

The Government Council of the Biscay Provincial Council has appointed Professor Trinidad Vicente as the new provincial Director of Equality in the Department of Employment, Social Cohesion, and Equality. She holds a PhD in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Deusto, and teaches at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences and is a member of the Human Rights Institute.

She is part of the research team 'Human Rights and Sociocultural Challenges in a Changing World', recognised by the Basque Government. Her publications mainly focus on diversity, human rights, and gender issues. These include: “Procesos de acogida e integración para la población refugiada en Bizkaia: ¿una realidad a geometría variable?”, “La población inmigrante en Euskadi: un análisis desde la perspectiva de género”, “La población refugiada en Bizkaia y su proceso de integración”, and “Minorías religiosas en Cantabria”.
