Six teams made up of five students each took part in the final, from the universities of Deusto, Pompeu Fabra, Politécnica de Catalunya, Universidad de Navarra, Instituto de Empresa and ESADE. The students were accompanied by one of their lecturers, and by the Campus Manager, a person fromDanone Group, whosupervised and supported them throughout the whole process.
The different team presentations, based on solving computer simulated business cases, were carried out in front of an actual Executive Committee, headed by Jérme Boesch, General Manager of Danone S.A. , and formed by Carles Vall, Financial Manager at Europa Sur Polo Lácteos; Xavier Simón, Marketing Manager at Danone S.A., Ricardo Santos, Sales Manager at Danone S.A., Maud Vimeux, Director of Human Resources at Font Vella S.A., Yann-Gael Rio, Supply Manager at LU Biscuits.
The winnershave beenawarded a six-month training scholarship at a company from Danone Group and a trip to Paris. This trip to Paris is part of an international event in which, winning teams from the twelve participating countries, will have to solve a mini case study developed in each country and that affects one of the stakeholders at the company. The French capital will be hosting a market place with a space for each team. The Executive Committee from Danone Group, headed by Franck Riboud, Group chairman, will visit each of the teams and will assess the solutions proposed by them.This Executive Committeewill eventually announce the world winner.
The Trust by Danone is a management game aimed at attracting, discovering and integrating the best students from each of the participating universities into the different business units from Danone Group. The last game trust was won by the team from the University Pompeu Fabra, and in the first one, the winners were also from La Comercial of Deusto.
