Since 2007, the Nicolae Titulescu University from Bucharest (Romania) together with the Nicolae Titulescu Foundation for Law and International Relations, and in collaboration with two prestigious universities from Spain: the Complutense University from Madrid (starting with 2011), and University of Deusto from Bilbao (starting with 2013) organize the 12th International Conference “Challenges of the Knowledge Society” (CKS), which is an international event dedicated to scientific research in the field of juridical and economic studies, administrative and political sciences, innovation in mediation, education and sociology, gender studies, finance and accounting, European studies and international relations etc.
The conference language is English.
The target groups of the conference are: professors, postdoctoral researchers, PhD. candidates and undergraduate students.
Based on the collaboration agreement signed in April 2012 between University of Deusto (Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences (Institute of European Studies) and Nicolae Titulescu University (Faculty of Law, Faculty of Social and Administrative Sciences and the Faculty of Economics), “the teaching staff, the PhD. candidates and the postdoctoral researchers of University of Deusto shall be exempted to pay the registration fee for participating to the International conference [while] the participation expenses [accommodation, travel etc.], as well as the medical and accident insurance expenses during the stay [...] will be covered by the respective teaching staff or PhD. candidates and postdoctoral researchers participating in the event” (article 6 para. 3 of the collaboration agreement). Thus, in order NOT to pay the registration fee, the abstracts MUST be send to oana.petrescu@deusto.es.
The abstracts must have no more than 300 words, while the final research papers (if the abstracts are accepted) shall have between 3,000 words and 12,000 words and must be written clearly, concisely, and without any ambiguities, taking into account the template: http://cks.univnt.ro/uploads/template_CKS_2016.doc and the criteria mentioned in the Guidelines for Authors, published on the International Conference’s website: http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html.
Papers must NOT have been previously published and they must NOT be currently submitted for publication elsewhere.
The abstracts will be sent to the e-mail address: oana.petrescu@deusto.es until 31st January 2018 with the subject: “Abstract for International Conference, Bucharest, May 2018”.
All the final research papers are submitted in English and published in the conference volume, CKS-eBook, which since 2009 is indexed in the following international data bases: EBSCO CEEAS, CEEOL, DOAJ, Index Copernicus and Ulrich's. The organization committee aims to immediately index the conference volume, CKS-eBook, in the Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index database (starting with CKS 2011-eBook). Furthermore, following the Conference, authors of the selected high quality papers will be invited to submit their papers for inclusion in below high-impact international academic journal Lex et Scientia International Journal (LESIJ), published by the “Nicolae Titulescu” University and indexed by EBSCOhost, CEEOL, Index Copernicus, DOAJ Internacional, Ulrich's.
