The opening ceremony of the Master’s programme in International Business (MIB) offered by Deusto Business School was held on 28 September at the University of Deusto’s San Sebastian campus. Following the welcome address and presentation of the programme, the partner companies were recognised and thanked for hosting student interns on this programme. Roque Adrada, Executive Coordinator of the Deusto Business School Career Services Department moderated the event. Maurizio Bragagni (CEO of Tratos Group) gave the opening lectio magistralis entitled: International Uncertainty: Challenges for Innovation.
Light refreshment was served in the Aranzadi Building dining room following the ceremony, attended by students and lecturers from the Master's programme and various partner companies.

The programme includes compulsory internships, an intercultural working environment and close collaboration with business. This is the first Master's degree in International Business leading to an official Spanish diploma in the Basque Country. The sole language of instruction is English, which makes it a pioneering initiative for future executives wishing to specialise in globalisation of business as well as firms that need to improve their international management. The programme has been designed for young people from across the world. The competences are equivalent to those envisaged in the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. The programme helps future business executives to identify business opportunities abroad, design and implement international business strategies while taking into account the key aspects of international management in each department (marketing, finance, human resources...) in addition to the particular characteristics of the world's geographic areas. The compulsory internships are completed at internationalised companies across the world.
