The Basque Agency for Development Cooperation and EITB Euskal Irrati Telebista have recently created a space to give a voice to those organisations and individuals who contribute to various initiatives of Basque cooperation and solidarity worldwide. The aim is to reach out to citizens through communication, and to this end they have launched a podcast entitled #NorteSur.

Delfina Mux Caná, a grant holder of the Human Rights Institute's Indigenous Peoples' Human Rights Programme 2023, participated in the 4th episode of the #NorteSur podcast on the implementation of Transitional Justice. Delfina is an indigenous leader belonging to the Maya Kaqchikel and Tz'utujil People of Guatemala, and in the audio she highlights the importance of the right to memory, truth and justice, reparation, the guarantee of non-repetition and emotional and spiritual redress regarding missing people.

Guatemala experienced an internal armed conflict between 1960 and 1996, in which more than 200,000 people lost their lives.
