The SeGreVUni (Make visible and dimension the sexual and gender violences in universities) project, for which University of Deusto is a partner, has been launched. The project is co-funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness and the European Union, as part of the National R&D Programme orientated to the Societal Challenges 2018.

The main objective of this research project is to give visibility to the complexity and nuances of sexual and gender-based violence (SGRV) in complex and opaque power structures such as universities, contributing to more committed and less discriminatory policies and interventions.

To achieve this objective, a multi-faceted, interdisciplinary, national (Catalonia, Madrid, Euskadi) and international (United Kingdom, Italy, Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil) team has been put together. One of the members of this team is Itziar Gandarias Goikoetxea, researcher at the University of Deusto and member of the Interdisciplinary Research Platform on Gender.
