Deusto International Research School’s proposal submitted to the European call, Marie Curie MSCA-COFUND-2014-DP, which aims to attract international research talent has been positively assessed and given the entire amount of funding requested. The project particularly envisages European Commission co-funding for a total of 16 research training positions for three years. These international researchers enter PhD courses at the University of Deusto and join its teams and interdisciplinary research platforms. The project will run for 5 years and will start in the 2016/17 academic year.This achievement is linked to the University of Deusto strategy based on collaborating with local enterprises and entities in the development of PhD theses related to social agents. The aim is to develop research projects in international networks to address current social challenges in a collaborative manner. The project focuses on training researchers in a number of research areas at the University of Deusto Doctoral School (DIRS). Some examples are: “Human rights, peace and conflict resolution", “Sustainable development and innovation”, “Healthcare and well-being of the population” and "Life-long learning”
