Virtual campus
On 18 January, the European Commission launched the new higher education package, including the European Strategy for Universities and a proposal to member states on how to foster transnational collaboration.
The four priority areas of the strategy are the following:
- to strengthen the European dimension in higher education and research;
- support universities as “lighthouses of the European way of life”, promoting values and contributing to skills development;
- empower universities as actors of change in the green and digital transitions;
- reinforce universities as drivers of the EU’s global role and leadership.
