On 4 february 2020, the results of the study Digital Economy and Society in the Basque Country 2019 were presented at the University of Deusto. The study was prepared by Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness (University of Deusto) in collaboration with Euskaltel and conclude that Euskadi has the conditions to meet the challenges arising from the digital transition.
The study analyses 43 indicators of the European Commission Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI), organised under the following five main headings:
- Connectivity
- Human Capital
- Use of Internet Services
- Integration of Digital Technology
- Digital Public Services,
The study compares the results obtained in Euskadi with those of the EU Member States and makes an analysis of their evolution from 2017 to the present.
