The sociologist Javier Elzo offers the keys of youth faced with the future at the University of Deusto

According to Javier Elzo, a young person who has become aware of the importance of being competent, and with the capacity to anticipate innovation, characterised by being tolerant, open to "others", supportive to "others", who is aware of his being in an open and plural society, a society that demands more spirituality, and that has left secularisation behind, is a young person who has many chances to look into the future with hope. These were sociologist Javier Elzo's conclusions in his lecture on "Los jóvenes ante el futuro", last 8 May during the closing session of the Open Days 2006.
