On 2 December 2019, Silvia Fernandez, member of the DEUSTO International Research Project Office and coordinator of the Gender Interdisciplinary Research Platform, participated in the the kick off meeting of the Community of Practice “STRATEGIES: Sustainable Gender Equality”
This Community of Practice, coordinated by the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), is supported by ACT, a Coordination and Support Action project funded by the European Commission’s framework programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020. Its main aim is to reflect on strategies to ensure sustainable gender equality policies, with a specific attention to the cultural and institutional context of each institution.
The meeting counted with the presence of representatives of around 10 European Institutions and consisted on different group work & brainstorming on current practices, challenges, perspectives.
During the meeting the following upcoming events were lined up:
- In March 2020 there will be an event which will focus on gender equality and evaluation issues. The event will take place in Paris and it will consist on 3-4 lectures by invited speakers followed by a hands-on workshop on evaluation.
- The 1st CoP annual meeting and conference will be held in Nice in June 2020
