Deusto new member of the Basque Health Cluster

The Board of Directors of the Basque Health Cluster (BHC), held last February 14th, accepted the inclusion of the University of Deusto as a partner institution in the cluster.

In the recently approved Strategic Plan of the University of Deusto 2023-26 “People who transform the world” , Deusto acknowledges the added value of the networking work jointly with different social, economic and cultural agents in order to face the current challenges of our society.

Therefore, Deusto`s participation in the BHC is strategic because it will allow us to enhance synergies with both the business ecosystem and the research in bioscience and health in the Basque Country, strengthening links of our research activities with the challenges of the health sector with social impact.

The Delegation of the University of Deusto in the Basque Health cluster will be led from the Faculty of Health Sciences with Maria Carrasco, as dean of the faculty, the designated person to participate in the cluster`s Governing bodies. In addition to this, staff from the faculties of Engineering and Health Sciences and the International Research Project Office (IRPO) will participate in the activities organized by the cluster to contribute to the development, growth and internationalization of the BioScience sector in the Basque Country.
