The Vice-Rectorate for Research and Transfer, as part of a Delegation of the Network of European Offices (RedOE-CRUE) of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), participated last week in an institutional visit to European R&D&i institutions based in Brussels. Osane Uriarte, research advisor at the International Research Projects Office (IRPO), had the opportunity to debate with representatives of European and Spanish R&D&i institutions in Brussels about the new challenges to be faced for research and innovation at European level. The Delegation received first-hand information from unit directors and policy officers from the Directorate General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission and the European Research Council (ERC), as well as from the Director of the General Secretariat of the European Committee of the Regions. The visit included a session with advisers from the Permanent Representation of Spain to the European Union (REPER) and a meeting in the European Parliament with Spanish MEPs.
