Bilbao Campus San Sebastian Campus Vitoria-Gasteiz Headquarters

On 13 January, the University of Deusto held its first Saturday open day for 2024. On this occasion, the number of prospective university students attending the event was once again higher than ever, with a total of 2,706 visitors (1,986 in Bilbao, 696 in San Sebastian and 24 in Vitoria), compared to the 2,560 visitors in 2023.

At this event, the heads of each of the Faculties and University Services are available to prospective students and their families to answer any queries they may have about the undergraduate and double degrees for the academic year 24/25: course programmes, admission process, internships, international programme, career opportunities, extracurricular activities, languages, grants, accommodation, etc. As is customary, a series of guided tours were also held for visitors to get to know the campus facilities.

Applications for admission to undergraduate degrees will start on 15 January.

New degrees for the 24-25 academic year

Some of the new courses for next academic year include the double degree in Law + Philosophy, Politics and Economics, which will be taught on the Bilbao campus and is designed to prepare future lawyers who also wish to study politics. It will provide students with a broad vision and multidimensional knowledge for the future leadership of governments, companies and organisations.

The University of Deusto also plans to offer a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Mathematics at the Bilbao campus. This is a rapidly evolving field due to advances in technology and the growing need to solve increasingly complex problems. This degree will allow students to combine mathematics with technology to study, propose, control and predict the behaviour of physical systems such as climate, traffic management, home automation, vibrations and shock absorption of vehicles and machines, etc. This graduate profile is highly demanded by employers.

On the other hand, the San Sebastian campus will be offering a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management + Digital Business Intelligence (Deusto Business Analytics Programme) next academic year. This is a sound programme that will provide students with an in-depth understanding of how to identify new business models and strategies in areas such as marketing, finance and logistics thanks to Big Data analytics. This degree programme is designed for those interested in the digital world and the relationships between data, and will provide a global vision of business, an understanding of the impact of digitisation in different areas, and will prepare experts in large database analysis.
