20 November 2017
Bilbao Campus
On 20 November, we organised a class on agile organisations within the framework of the subject Organisational Structure for students on the Master's degree in Human Resources. Agility is increasing becoming a competitive advantage for firms and is impacting the way they work.
From this perspective, customers’ changing needs and value creation are constantly in the limelight and determine decision-making. On the other hand, organisational culture, leadership and governance or the organisational structure become aspects that play a key role in reaching agility. Different methodologies and tools form part of the transition. Scrum, Kanban and Lean are some of the names often heard on the market.
Our guest Amaya Sánchez, senior manager in Accenture Bilbao, gave us the opportunity to see a specific case. She shared the application of agile methodologies in management of systems implementation projects. We were able to see that the changes in mindframe which agile methodologies bring about is not simple. However, thanks to constant interaction with the customer, the final product is a better fit for their needs.
Thank you Amaya for sharing your experience with us!
