On October 31, the University of Deusto received a delegation of 40 Mexican executives and businessmen who are visiting the Basque Country to learn about the Basque economic and industrial network and ecosystem. During their stay, this business mission met with heads of leading corporations and business, social and cultural institutions of the Basque Country.
During their visit to Deusto, Rector Juan José Etxeberria received the delegation to present the main challenges and projects of the academic center in the fields of educational innovation, talent attraction and the connection with the Basque business network. This dialogue will serve to strengthen ties between the two territories and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
In addition, the entrepreneurs participated in a series of talks given by experts, where topics such as competitiveness, the role of family businesses in economic growth and the prospects for the future of industry in the Basque Country were discussed. These meetings have facilitated the exchange of experiences and good practices, with special attention to global challenges.
This Mexican business mission is part of the joint effort to strengthen bilateral relations between Mexico and the Basque Country, with the aim of promoting economic development and cooperation in strategic areas such as innovation, sustainability and digital transformation.
