27 graduates from the University of Deusto will have the opportunity to undertake work placements in Europe

The Centre for Labour Integration at the University of Deusto, Deustulan, offers 27 work placements in the European Union (France, United Kingdom, Italy and Viena), thanks to the Leonardo da Vinci European Programme, and with the collaboration of BBK GazteLanbidean, through the Ekhi Programme. These work placements are aimed at recent graduates who have completed their degree at the University of Deusto during the last two years. They must be aged between 20 and 35, have their legal residence in Bizkaia, and be currently unemployed.

The duration of these placements is 14 weeks, starting from 10 March 2007. During this time, four weeks will be devoted to a language course in their destination country, and the remaining 10 weeks will be spent at work placements with companies. Pre-enrolment will be from 6 November to 5 December.

'Leonardo da Vinci' is a programme created by the EU to promote a European Area with regard to Education and Vocational Training, It aims to enhance individual aptitudes and competences, particularly those in young people, in initial vocational training at all levels. It also seeks to improve the quality of training provision and strengthen continuing vocational training. These placements in a EU country can be of great benefit to young people in training in all spheres. In addition, it facilitates the acquisition of aptitudes and competences throughout one's lifetime; and it fosters and strengthens the contribution of vocational training to the innovation process, designed to promote competitiveness and business spirit, aimed at potential new jobs.
