holds a BA in Psychopedagogy and a MA in Special Education. She is a teacher in therapeutic pedagogy and is a PhD candidate in Educational Innovation and Lifelong Learning. She is a lecturer at the University of Deusto, where she teaches at the Bilbao campus.
Teaches BA courses on Primary Education and Social Education, and MA courses on Special Educational Needs and Compulsory Secondary Education, Upper Secondary Education, Vocational Training and Language Teaching.
Specifically, she teaches the following subjects: BA level Psycho-pedagogical Bases of Special Educational Needs, Curriculum and Diversity, Social Inclusion of Youth and Adults with Disabilities, and Practical Sessions II (Specialism in Special Educational Needs), in Basque language; BA level Undergraduate Final Year Project, in Spanish.
Ana Casas Gutiérrez also teaches MA level Practical Sessions and Master's Dissertation, in Spanish, and Educational Processes and Contexts and Attention to Diversity, both in Basque and in Spanish. She is also a tutor in the BA in Primary Education, in Basque language.
Her publications mainly focus on disabilities. During the past few years she has carried out research on adaptive behavior and intellectual disabilities.
