I have been an academic at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Deusto since 2001, focusing my teaching on programming, software design and development, and intelligent systems. Since September 2025, I have served as the Director of the Digital Transformation Unit, operating under the Vice-Rectorate for Academic Policy and Digital Transformation. Furthermore, since 2017, I have actively driven educational innovation, academic staff development, and the strategic adoption of AI across the entire university community. As a researcher, my work follows two main strands: the resolution of optimisation problems using artificial intelligence techniques, and the development of technological competence among university teaching staff. I have published more than fifty articles in indexed scientific journals and possess over ten years of experience in managing technology-driven R&D projects.
