ELIXABETE PÉREZ GAZTELU holds a BA and PhD in Basque Philology from the University of Deusto. She is a lecturer at the university in Bilbao and San Sebastian.She teaches on the BA in Communication. She currently teaches the following subjects: Theory of Information and Communication I (in Basque), Elaboration and production of messages for written press (in Basque), Oral Communication Workshop (in Basque). She supervises Undergraduate Final Year Projects on the BA in Communication.At the Bilbao campus she teaches the subject Idazketa akademikoa (Academic Writing) on the double degree in Basque Language and Culture and Modern Languages. Her research areas include Lexicology and communication skills. In her last projects with the Communication research group she leads, she has focused on the use of language in communication and, particularly, written communication skills among Basque youth. She also takes part in projects related to gender and communication.She coordinates Undergraduate Final Year Projects on the BA in Communication.
