Laura Arjona is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Deusto since late 2022, where she carries out teaching and research tasks. After obtaining her PhD at the University of Deusto in the field of RFID technology, she worked for two years as a research associate and lecturer at the University of Washington, Seattle, after receiving the "Washington Research Foundation Innovation Postdoctoral Fellow in Neuroengineering" fellwoship. She later received the Juan de la Cierva scholarship, which allowed her to work as a research associate at the University of Deusto until late 2022, on biomedical engineering projects. Her area of specialization includes development and communications with passive sensors, mobile and embedded systems, and biomedical signal processing. Her teaching experience includes courses in the field of computer architecture and embedded systems at the University of Washington and the University of Deusto.
