The University of Deusto participated on the 9th and 10th December 2015 in the 7th European Innovation Summit, held in the European Parliament in Brussels. The Summit hosted numerous sessions and events on Europe’s grand challenges in the innovation sector and provided a platform for leaders in various sectors to discuss the policies and instrument required to promote innovation throughout the economy.In particular, UDEUSTO participated in the 4th Conference of Partners of the European Innovation Partnership on Active & Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA) around the topic Accelerating market uptake of innovation for active and healthy ageing across Europe. The Conference was the opportunity to showcase the work conducted by EIP on AHA Action Groups over the period 2012-2015.
The Summit called for a “Pact for Innovation”. The objective of the “Pact for Innovation” is to develop an ambitious vision of what innovation can do for the EU economy and society. The future-oriented bottom-up approach of the Pact will unite a group of local, regional, national and EU innovation stakeholders.
