The research team of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) of the University of Deusto, the University of the Basque Country and the University of Mondragon presented the conclusions about the Basque Country entrepreneurial activity. The GEM report should guide the responsible entities in the promotion of the public policies for favoring economic-business activity.

The study provides a diagnosis of the main indicators of the entrepreneurial activity in the Basque Country. It shows that the total entrepreneurial activity in the Basque Country has slowed down from 5,8% in 2017 to 5,1% in 2018-2019. The future entrepreneurial potential has increased half point and the business consolidation rate has also slightly increased. Likewise, business abandonment has also reduced.
