It is known that air pollution is very harmful to human health and the possible adverse effects of pollution include the risk of acute respiratory diseases such as asthma, pneumonia or lung cancer. With the objective of finding a method for detecting air pollution, the eVIDA Research Group of the University of Deusto has developed a technological platform, healthyAIR, which provides the user with information on the concentration of atmospheric pollutants in the air. In addition, the platform offers a personalised alarm system for users most sensitive to this type of contamination.

To do this, eVIDA has developed a technological solution based on a network of devices that measure air quality made up of public air quality stations and personal devices. This mixed composition allows users to receive detailed and personalised information according to their needs.
