More than twenty first and second year secondary students from several schools in Biscay took part in the ‘Stop! We change course’ workshop, an initiative carried out jointly by the Law Faculty at the University of Deusto and law students.

The aim of this workshop was to allow young people to express their opinions out loud and encourage them to take change of their future; the organisers provided them with the necessary tools to examine the current situation in key areas such as education, healthcare, housing, work, politics, etc. In this regard, participants were encouraged to reflect upon the solutions that are being currently demanded by our society.

With this aim in mind, and under the title 'Cuatro pilares para el cambio’ (Four pillars for change), a number of presentations were held, addressing the current problems in key areas such as healthcare, politics, social issues and education. Following these presentations, which were prepared and presented by students on the BA in Law and Law and Economics, participants from the various schools in Biscay were divided into four groups for roundtable discussions, similar to those of a World Café, where they could debate and propose solutions.

All the contributed ideas will be collected in a report that will be submitted to the Youth and Sports Department of the Biscay Regional Council by the Law Faculty.Upcoming activities:Film afternoon with..."The Fifth Power".
