Next Saturday, the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Deusto will hold its graduation ceremony

Next 8 March, the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Deusto will hold its graduation ceremony for those engineering students who successfully completed their studies in 2007. In addition, during this ceremony the four Awards to the Best Final Degree Projects will be presented. This year, awarding companies include Telefónica, Atos Origin, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Dinalan. These awards have been granted to the best project in each engineering degree programme in their academic year, based on criteria such as Innovation, Technology integration, social relevance and applicability. Bilbao Campus

This year, the award-winning students and projects include the following:In Telecommunications Engineering, Alejandro Pascual and Miguel Ángel Pérez, have been awarded for their project entitled ?Diseño e implantación de una red ?wifi mesh? en un entorno campus?, supervised by Nekane Sainz.The award will be presented by Antonio Castillo, Deputy General Manager, Competitive Intelligence, Telefónica.In Computing Engineering, Pablo Orduña will receive the award for his project entitled ?WebLab-Deusto:implementación de un laboratorio remoto distribuido basado en Web 2.0?, supervised by Javier García Zubia.Miguel Ángel Ibáñez, Human Resources Manager, Northern Region, Atos Origin, will present the award.


In Engineering in Industrial Organisation, Teodoro Viguri, head of Capital Humano, Northern Region, PricewaterhouseCoopers, will present the award to Zuriñe Eguiluz and Mónica Zumárraga, for their project entitled ?Elaboración del plan de creación de un centro de educación infantil?, supervised by Alfonso Velasco.Finally, Josu Pereiro, Manager, Dinalan, will present the best project award in Automation Engineering and Industrial Electronics to Haizea Etxebeste, for her project entitled ?Análisis, desarrollo y simulación de técnicas de control adaptativo usando entorno Matlab. Implementación mediante xPC Target?, supervised by Ana Macarulla.
