In line with its corporate social responsibility towards society, Panda Software collaborates in the training processes of the current and future generations of computer engineers. Within this framework, both Panda and the University of Deusto will carry out projects and other actions in the field of R+D+i regarding Information Security. In addition, they will promote the training of professionals of excellence in this regard.
The General Manager of Panda Software, Ainhoa Aguirre, expressed her satisfaction at the signing of this Agreement, as she pointed out that "this collaboration will enable us to strengthen the developments carried out by Panda Research, our company's research area, to find out new solutions for specific problems identified in our different product models." "In this way", she added, "We will continue to maintain our technological leadership while promoting the University research lines and teams."
The Director of Deusto Technology Foundation (DTF), Jose Luis del Val, considered that "this cooperation agreement is extremely relevant for DTF and the Faculty of Engineering (ESIDE) at the University of Deusto since, thanks to it, our Security research team will closely cooperate with Panda Software R+D unit. Thus, this will allow us to better focus on its knowledge and experience in the generation of technology and solutions." "On the other hand", the Director added, "it will also promote the training given to students at the Faculty of Engineering in such an important field for their future career as that of Information Security, which increasingly requires professionals with specific training."
Thanks to this agreement, a number of R+D+i projects of interest to Panda Software will be carried out, with the participation of researchers and grant holders at the University of Deusto, as well as lecturers and students.
