Universia, faithful to its commitment to youth and the university world, and following the path of previous experiences such as Second Life, has organised OrientaUniversia Careers Fair (http://orienta.universia.es). This is a new and attractive way to choose a university and a degree.
Young people today have become familiar with the use of online tools to locate the information they need. As in the previous Virtual Job and Education Fair, Universia provides them with a virtual space that simulates a university campus, and that includes a number of online tools that will help students to make their choice of a degree. These tools range from powerful search engines by degrees or universities to a career guidance test to get advice on the careers that would suit each student best.
At OrientaUniversia, students will be able to find information about the different degrees or required average marks, information regarding sports and cultural associations and activities, accommodation facilities for those students who come from another city, document download and former students' experiences. In addition, they can even answer surveys proposed by each university, and view videos at the virtual auditorium available at the stand.
Those interested can even find advice and frequently asked questions on scholarships, studying abroad or any queries regarding the university entrance exam and university life. At this fair, information about most of the degree programmes available will be offered; students will have 24-hour access to OrientaUniversia, and they will be able to get any information they may need in a quick and easy way, without having to move.
In accordance with the collaboration agreement signed between Universia and EducaRed last 24 May, this educational portal promoted by Telefonica Foundation, has already started the dissemination of Orienta Fair through its network of schools
