The Chair in Galician Studies at the UD has been given the Anduriña de Prata Award, for its work in the field of Galician language and culture.

The Chair in Galician Studies at the University has been awarded the 'Anduriña de Prata' (silver swallow) award, the highest and most important medal given by the Irmandade (Association) of Galician Centres in the Basque Country, to reward the work carried out by individuals and institutions in the field of Galician language and culture. This association presented the award last 4 June, on the occasion of Galicia's day celebration in the Basque Country.
