The Basque Government has increased by 100,000 euros the funding granted to the University of Deusto for 2019 in the context of the Framework Programme for Excellent Research (Contrato Programa de Investigación de Excelencia) signed with the University.
The Framework Programme for Excellent Research signed between the Department of Education and the University pursues three strategic objectives:
- Development of human resources in R&D;
- Promotion of the research activity; and
- Expansion of research infrastructures.
With this increased amount it will be possible to fund the activities linked to these objectives, which are set within the main action lines of the Erronka Programme. The University is planning to carry out actions to activate and dynamise the Knowledge Poles, such as the one in health and ageing promoted by the interdisciplinary research platform on ageing and well-being.
