The University of Deusto has partnered with Sabadell City Council to implement actions aimed at improving the management of religious diversity in the city.
As part of the "Municipalities for Tolerance" programme, researchers from the Deusto Human Rights Institute visited Sabadell to assess and propose improvements to public policies related to religious diversity. The first visit took place on 23 November, followed by a second visit on 25 January.
During the last visit, a series of measures were identified that will be implemented over the next two years, with the aim of strengthening coexistence and tolerance within the community. Bilbao and Vitoria are also part of this programme and will conduct their respective assessments in the near future.
This initiative highlights the commitment of Deusto and other city councils to promoting inclusive policies and fostering religious tolerance at the municipal level. This joint effort shows the importance of building respectful and diverse communities.
