On Saturday 12 March, took place on the Donostia-San Sebastián campus of the University of Deusto the graduation ceremonies in Business Administration and Management + Law and Business Administration and Management + Computer Engineering for the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 graduating classes, whose graduation ceremonies were cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.

The ceremonies were held at the Loiola Centrum which, with its three unique towers, occupies a central location on the University of Deusto's Donostia campus. The ceremony was presided over by the vice-rector of the campus, Xabier Riezu, in the presence of a representation of the faculty and staff of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies-Deusto Business School, as well as the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Law, who have accompanied them for 5 years in their personal and professional growth process.

They used their words to express their gratitude to the teaching and support staff of the university and ended their speech with some emotional words for their families and friends.

The GALMA wind quintet, from the Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco, Musikene, composed of: Pablo Castellanos, Silvia Ferro, Roi Guzmán, Jaume Sans and Ana Sanz, took part in the musical intermission. The music of Scott Joplin livened up the atmosphere. In addition, the Easo Emakume Abesbatza Choir, under the direction of Sergio Pedrouso Julio and accompanied by the organist Ana Belén García Pérez, took part in the opening of the ceremony, singing Agur Jaunak, and in the closing of the ceremony, singing Gaudeamus Igitur.

Practically all of these new graduates have studied for a semester at one of the more than 70 universities in more than 30 countries with which Deusto Business School has established international exchange agreements in Europe, America and Asia-Pacific. In addition, 100% of the students finish their studies with at least one professional experience thanks to a consolidated network of more than 400 companies with which collaboration agreements have been signed. The training offered at Deusto Business School is comprehensive, in which international vision and practical orientation are two of its distinctive features.

These new graduates will become part of Deusto Business Alumni, an association that has more than 7,000 members working in more than 2,700 different companies, and whose founding objective is to respond efficiently to the demand and needs of companies. The employment rate of Deusto Business School graduates stood at 94.5% according to the last survey carried out before the pandemic.

These have been years of intense efforts that culminate in this day of celebration, certainly for them, but no less so for their families who have supported them with so much effort, as well as for the University itself, which with great satisfaction sees its mission of service in favour of a society more committed to the values of justice and equality fulfilled.
