The University of Deusto has hosted on 6 and 7 june the kick off meeting of the new EU funded project Logistar (Enhance data management techniques for real time logistics planning and schedulling), coordinated by the Faculty of Engineering and Deusto Tech. The project gathers 15 partners from 8 different countries (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy and Serbia) and will consolidate the joint successful internationalisation strategy of both DEUSTO centres.
The project is funded under the topic Innovative ICT Solutions for Future Logistic Operations of the Horizon 2020 Work Programme Transport. For three years, the research project will help improving the collaboration of all the relevant stakeholders in the logistic supply chain.
DEUSTO participation will focus on the development of a logistics planning and goods allocation system for the optimisation of the freight transport network for horizontal collaboration, transfers planning and the programming of the intermodal distribution nodes.
