A session led by Ramón Alosen (Iberdrola) on the Master’s programme in European and International Business Management

On November 7, we had the privilege of attending a session led by Ramón Alosen, IT Risk Manager at Iberdrola, on the Master’s programme in European and International Business Management. Ramón gave us insight into the energy business and the complex management and organisation of one of the world's leading market capitalisation firms.

Based on a global vision of Iberdrola today and the transformation it has undergone in the last ten years due to the firm's internationalisation, we gradually approached the concrete case of IT risk management. In such a large business organisation, with different companies in various countries, we realised the importance of systematising and making processes consistent to work at the global level and, above all, to consolidate information and support decision-making. The company’s capacity to adapt and its continuous analysis of the environment also drew our attention. For instance, cyber risk management is a subject that has recently become very relevant in IT risk management.

Thank you, Ramón, for sharing your work with us! We feel very fortunate to have been so close to Iberdrola and to have learned from the experience.
